Während das Motto auf der Vorderseite eine christlich-religiöse
Allegorie der magnetischen Anziehung ist, deuten die Windrosen
auf Boden und Deckel des Kastens auf die Beziehung zum
Magnetfeld der Erde hin.
While the inscription on the front side is a Christian, religious allegory
of magnetic attraction, the compass rose on the bottom and lid of the
box point to the relationship to Earth’s magnetic field.
